Hamburg, 13. Mai 2026 – WFL Wedler Franz Logistik GmbH & Co. KG and NRailMind are beginning their collaboration in digital track management. Following intensive and highly productive discussions, both companies have agreed to introduce the NRailMind TrackAgent. The aim is to make the management and booking of track occupancy significantly more efficient, transparent and practical.
Many companies in the industry are familiar with the challenges of day-to-day operations: track occupancy is often still coordinated manually, with bookings made by phone or email. As a result, it is difficult to ensure an accurate, up-to-date overview of occupied and available track capacity at all times. This also creates additional work, for example through unnecessary or repeated shunting movements.
WFL Wedler Franz Logistik GmbH & Co. KG is now adopting the NRailMind TrackAgent, a digital solution that addresses this very challenge. Shunting movements can be booked directly to the relevant track in the application. Everyone involved receives a real-time overview of current occupancy. This improves transparency, reduces the effort required to coordinate, and helps avoid unnecessary shunting costs.
“WFL Wedler Franz Logistik GmbH & Co. KG is a great partner for us and a typical medium-sized company in our industry. We are all the more pleased that WFL Wedler is placing its trust in our products,” says Julian Madsen, Business Development at NRailMind. “Track management in particular shows just how important practical digital applications are—ones that deliver tangible value in day-to-day operations.”
WFL Wedler Franz Logistik GmbH & Co. KG also sees great potential in the collaboration: “With NRailMind, we have found a reliable partner who understands the challenges and requirements of the various stakeholders very quickly and develops applications for real-world use,” says Roman Gocht, authorized signatory at WFL Wedler Franz Logistik GmbH & Co. KG.
By starting this collaboration, both companies are sending a clear signal in support of greater efficiency, transparency and digitalization in railway operations.
