Event description

Thanks to LZB, trains can literally “see further ahead” and be guided safely by in-cab displays. Using LZB enables trains to run closer together, making more efficient use of rail infrastructure. This leads to higher speeds, faster task completion and creates capacity for the next tasks.

Online and classroom theory:

  • LZB track equipment
  • LZB vehicle equipment
  • LZB operation
  • LZB faults, deviations and irregularities


Practical training:

  • Simulator runs in normal and fault conditions

General information

  • Duration: 6 days
  • Training format: Full days (5 days of training / 1 exam day)
  • Cost: On request

Prerequisites:

  • Proven German language skills at a minimum level of B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • Train driver Class B 1 or B 2
 

Qualifications:

  • Theory and practical examination (simulator) for adding LZB / LZB-CE to the supplementary certificate
