This training course covers the role, duties and responsibilities of the Safety Manager in rail transport, taking into account regulatory requirements, directives issued by the authorities, and the differing perspectives of operators, manufacturers and maintainers. The content draws on consolidated experience from standards bodies, industry, associations and academia, and is delivered by experienced instructors with a practical focus.

Class B Train Driver in Freight and Passenger Transport

This training course provides the theoretical and practical foundations for working as a train driver (m/f/d). Over 12 months, participants are prepared to work safely and to high quality standards in passenger and freight transport. Upon successful completion, they are hired by a railway company in the partner network.

(CSM-RA) – Common safety method for risk evaluation and assessment

This training provides the knowledge required to conduct a CSM-RA assessment, including the significance test and the use of a company-specific safety method. Building on this, the risk management process is explained and explored in greater depth using practical examples. Participants are welcome to bring their own case studies to the training.

A Resilience Booster for Rail

In this event, participants learn how to strengthen their mental resilience, act confidently in stressful and conflict situations, and navigate their professional day-to-day work more safely with practical de-escalation and self-protection strategies.

Practical Applications

This practical training focuses on applying what participants have learned in the training courses they have previously attended. The aim is to independently compile a safety case based on a technical safety report.

Validation Engineer

Verification activities in the context of validation are examined. The interfaces with functional safety and an understanding of the roles are also clarified. A local transit vehicle door model equipped with a Selectron safety controller is available in the laboratory to put the knowledge gained into practice.

Safety Project Manager

Training in the following key competencies provides a comprehensive understanding of the organizational and management requirements set out in EN 50126 and EN ISO 9001, particularly with regard to quality and competencies. This also includes understanding the requirements of the safety process.

ETCS Level 2 for Germany

This course provides fundamental knowledge of the structure, operating principles and functionality of ERTMS and the ETCS train protection system, as well as their interfaces with conventional systems.
