Course description
This training course provides the theoretical and practical foundations for working as a train driver (m/f/d). Over 12 months, participants are prepared to work safely and to high quality standards in passenger and freight transport. Upon successful completion, they are hired by a railway company in the partner network.
Course content
- Qualification as a train driver in freight and passenger transport
- Theoretical and practical training on locomotives
- Safe operation of trains and shunting movements
- Identifying, assessing and resolving minor technical faults
- Practical preparation in accordance with the TfV and railway operating requirements
- Operational knowledge for regional, S-Bahn and long-distance services
- Training in operational procedures in rail transport
- Readiness for deployment and a strong sense of responsibility for safe train operations
- Relevant legal and organizational fundamentals
